  • 1.  Durable iPad kiosks?

    Posted 02-19-2020 05:05 PM
We're exploring installing a set of durable iPad kiosks for an exhibit gallery that gets REALLY crowded-especially with middle schoolers-during some parts of the year.

Any recommendations that others have used in such a space? Anything that I should know from your experiences?

    Thanks!

    David,
I have found Bouncepad to be a very good product and recommend you check them out...

    Hi,
Very happy with our standalone kiosks from ipadkiosks.com
They're very durable with a heavy weighted base. I say this because it seems like so many ipad kiosks are kinda flimsy and cheap looking. If you're not on a tight budget, I definitely recommend this company. There's also a nice storage cabinet in the back, so if you ever decide to use it with a different touchscreen, or monitor, there's plenty of room for a mac mini or micro PC.

    Hi David,

We've used several products from Armor Active over the years and found them to be very durable. We use the Full Metal Jacket enclosure in combination with either the Figure 8 table/wall mount or the Radius floor stand.

We too have had good results with Bouncepad. . . have had two iPads in use for a few years now w/o any complaints. We chose the "Flex" version so that the iPads can be tilted just enough to cover a few different viewing angles.

Don't know the exact form factor you're looking for, but we're about to do an iPad based install and we're using an Armodilo case, and I've been impressed with it's build quality.
