CRM for small, regional museum?

    Hello,

    I serve on the board of a very small historical museum in Massachusetts. We're taking steps to implement CRM software. I'm therefore wondering if other small organizations have used any of the following CRM systems, and if so, what worked, what didn't, etc.?

    * Sumac
    * Donor Perfect
    * Donor Snap
    * Donor View
    * Kindful
    * Little Green Light
    * NationBuilder
    * Neon
    * Salsa
    * Give Effect

    Thank you in advance,
    Marnie Weir

    Marnie -- selecting the right CRM is an important decision, and there's no "one size fits most" solution. My colleague wrote this research paper about nonprofit data management http://bit.ly/BeneNPTech.  It may be helpful as you weigh the merits of these products for your institution.

    It should be  bit.ly/BeneNPTech  That pesky period shouldn't be a part of the link. Thanks for asking.

    Hello Laura,

    We are also a small museum looking for a CRM system. I have tried the link several times and it is broken. Could you please send the correct link? we would love to read your friend's article.

    We use one not on the list called CharityProud and it is very reasonable and very good for the price. We pay about 160 per month for up to 5,000 constituents. A package for fewer would be less.

    We also use CharityProud and are pretty happy with it. We were having trouble pulling the membership report to get all the info we needed for our membership cards and they created a new report for us right away. It's definitely worth looking into.

    We just transitioned to Neon CRM, and we've been really happy with it.  We wish the front-end especially as it relates to donation forms was a little bit cleaner, but overall we've been really happy with it.  If you have specific questions, I'd be happy to answer those for you!

    Margaret,
    You may want to look at HubSpot.  The CRM portion is free to download and can support an unlimited amount of users.  The full HubSpot suite is really a marketing automation tool.  But I could see how a museum could leverage it's form tools and really get a lot out of it.  Without making this a 10 page thesis on how Hubspot could be implemented, I'd be happy to chat with you about it.  My number is 567-290-8069.  Or if you're going to be in New Orleans for MuseumExpo2019, stop by the American Frame booth and I can show/tell you how we use it.
