Dear colleagues,
In AAM's most recent COVID Impact Snapshot, 49 percent of respondents reported that their museums have increased the hourly rate of lowest paid employees, relative to 2019. To explore that story more deeply, I'm looking for examples of museums that have brought values of social justice and equity to bear on the process of raising wages. For example, museums that have committed to paying a living wage, as determined by their local cost of living, or to reducing pay disparities between groups within the museum. I would be delighted to hear from you here on the forum, or in private correspondence (emerritt at aam-us.org). Thank you!
