Hi Silvia,
I consulted on community education programs back in 2003 to the Plainfield Public Library, NJ, in conjunction with its project to digitize a collection of blueprints of historic houses in Plainfield. The blueprints were invaluable to architects who were working on historic restorations of the homes. The director I worked with is no longer there, but you may want to reach out to Mary Ellen Rogan, the current director and see what policy they have in place. They have had years since its pilot to tell you what works.
Good luck!
Terri

Greetings from the Architecture and Design Collection at the AD&A Museum, of the University of California, Santa Barbara!
We have been approached by a person who wants to build a replica of a house by a famous architect whose copyrights we own. The replica will be for private use and, once built, it will enjoy some extra real estate value because of its replicative nature.
While we feel entitled to charge for the replica, we are also a non profit, accredited museum and wonder what the best practice would be in this regard.
Do you know of similar cases we can refer to?
Thank you very much!
