I oversee a vibrant need-based scholarship program for youth art classes and workshops at a regional art museum. The scholarships are supported by endowments as well as the generosity of local individual donors. As the community changes, there is an increasing demand for these scholarships from a broad range of audiences. I am currently revising the application to more clearly define "need-based," to require documentation of "financial need," and to refine sponsorship policies of individual scholarship candidates. I am interested in receiving feedback from other museums who offer scholarships for their classes and programs.
