I am also interested in this topic. We recently decided to install screens (had originally thought Smartboards but actually ended up with Smart TVs and iPads/Apple TV in two art studios. So far it's slow getting the technology ready and user-friendly enough to convince facilitators to use them, despite some great possible applications. I'd be interested to know how other museums approach the training and practice aspects, especially with older adults who may not be as familiar or comfortable using technology.

Subject: Smartboard Use Within Museums
Hello all,
I am interested in learning how other museums use smartboards/interactive whiteboards. We recently added a hands-on interactive space that doubles as a classroom and a public lab. Within this space we have two regular projectors that we can display from and an interactive smartboard that we can display and interact with. So far, we have done very little to incorporate our smartboard for use with education programs or exhibits.
I am interested in gaining perspective and suggestions on how other museums or educational institutions use smartboards within their organization for educational purposes or exhibit use. Beyond using your smartboard as a mouse and drawing utensil; what educational games, activities, etc. have you used your smartboard for? Any additional thoughts and experiences are welcome.
Thank you,
Cody Cook
