We appreciate that so many museums generously offer free or discounted admissions as a professional courtesy to their colleagues in the field. Our members appreciate it too, because it's a great way for them to learn from their peers.
It's never been a direct benefit of AAM membership; it's always been a voluntary decision made by the museum. We typically recommend that people check at the admissions desk of the museum they'd like to visit. Museum admissions policies change from time to time and the museum will always have the most current information.

A few years back there used to be an rather extensive list of Museums that would let you in or discount your ticket with your AAM membership, but I don't think it is considered a membership perk anymore. You could always ask at the admissions desk of where you want to go.

Is there a comprehensive list anywhere of the museums who provide free admission to AAM members (or can we start one)? The only thing I see on the AAM website is that they do not have a formal reciprocal membership policy.
