  • 1.  Museums Commissioning Their Own Face Masks

    Posted 07-01-2020 11:21 AM
Hello everyone! For the AAM blog, I'm looking for examples of museums who are commissioning their own face mask designs, whether for staff to wear or to sell in the shop for visitors (or both).

I'm particularly interested in designs that are directly connected to collections or exhibitions, like having an exhibiting artist design masks at an art museum. If you know of any, including at your own museum, please get in touch (reply, DM, or email-whatever you prefer).

    Thanks!

    Hi Joseph,

At Museum of the Bible we have created our own face mask for staff - and to sell to the public.  It's been quite successful!  We created a stained-glass image to reflect some of the Tiffany stained glass in our collection!

The company is called "Something Inked", rep is Alesia Harris alesiah@somethinginked.com

We went with style #FM-100C, which she has at fairly low minimums and good price breaks with the more you order.

We had some made with our logo and using our tag line, "History Spoken Here." Because with a tag line like that, how could we NOT?

I'd love to have sourcing information on companies to commission masks from also, if anyone would be willing to share the companies they ordered from.

Around here, all the T-shirt companies are doing custom mask printing. That's who we got to do ours.

    Hello,
We are The Dali Museum, so naturally we made/are selling mustache masks! Our staff wear them and we sell them at Admissions and in the Store. We've only been re-open a few days, but they've been doing very well. We also have an ongoing Teen Fashion Design program and some of our wonderful student designers made Dali-inspired masks - also doing very well.
    Best,
    Kathy
