Dear Colleagues,
Our education department has two outreach specialist positions and we need to establish protocols that clearly establish parameters and policies for their activities bringing museum programs to schools. These would include procedural expectations of the institution and of the staffer, (and the school?), logistical expectations (when to stay overnight, distance thresholds, weather conditions trigger cancellation or lodgings, reimbursement and per diems, etc.)
Does your institution have written policies for outreach personnel that you'd be willing to share?
