This discussion fascinates me because of a project I'm on to do a fine art photographic portfolio inspired by the intimate - sometimes spiritual, act involved in the process of creating color for the purpose of dyeing, weaving, glazing, etc. Of course, I would be grateful for names of artists at the top of their art whose practice hinges in great part on creating their own unique colors - and who work around New York City. The main focus here being the act of color creation itself.
