Some of the main museum education philosophies are listed in the
Museum Managers Compendium (Jacobsen, Roman & Littlefield, 2017). You can select which ones align with your museums goals.
Four of the books 101 sections are devoted to this question: Education: K-12 Strategy; Learning Theory; Social Learning Concepts, and Strategies. These sections contain diagrams, planing worksheets, citations and descriptions you can copy and adapt. Fall/Dierking, Hein, Vygotsky, Borun, Jolly and others work is summarized.

Subject: Education Department Philosophy?
Would any of you be willing to share your Education Department-specific philosophy or mission? Or, how you worked through writing that document? We're mid-way through writing a department philosophy and also thinking about an overarching interpretive philosophy, and could use some good models to share with our director and board.
