Hi AAM community,
This Thursday (March 25th @ 1pm EST) I'll be hosting a discussion about NFTs in museums. While recent news and headlines have begun to illuminate the potential applications of NFTs in arts and culture, this technology also comes with a number of environmental repercussions and other obstacles that must be explored. Today there are more questions, concerns, and unknowns than there are answers about the ways in which NFTs may impact museums, and we hope this conversation can help provide an educational (and non-technical) foundation.
We'll be joined by special guests Mark Sabb (Senior Director of Innovation, Marketing & Engagement @ Museum of the African Diaspora), Holly Shen (Former Deputy Director @ San Jose Museum of Art) & Clara Blume (Deputy Director & Head of Art, Science, and Technology @ Open Austria) to discuss NFTs and their potential impact on museums. Our shared hope is to unpack the topic of NFTs, discuss concerns, and share ideas about the potential implications and opportunities for cultural organizations.
We're still only beginning to understand how NFTs may impact museums, and hope conversations like these can help us all prepare as this topic evolves.

The webinar is free of cost, will be recorded and transcribed, and we'll be welcoming questions from the community. If there are any questions you'd like the panelists to discuss, please post them on this forum thread or e-mail me directly at email@example.com.
