We are looking for some lighting options for our historic keepers home. Right now we have limited electricity in the hall and kitchen but when we have dreary days, which is often on the north shore of Lake Superior, it is almost impossible to see in the stairwell and other areas of the home.  Looking to see what others do in historic homes when you want to maintain the integrity of the home but provide visitor safety.
    Thanks,
    j.

    Hi Jennifer,

Perhaps for the stairwell you could consider something like an LED strip light mounted to the underside of the handrail, which would be inconspicuous but also provide illumination. Just a thought. Best of luck!
