  • 1.  Digitizing newspapers

    Posted 05-31-2018 10:56 AM
I worked at a museum in San Diego that has a complete run of a local paper that ran from 1971 to 1980. The publishers are now both deceased, and no other entity took over the imprint, so there are few copywriter issues. There are stories about the local community that don't exits anywhere else, which would be very useful for the museum and the local community. When I worked there, there were not funds to have these papers digitized, but there are now funds, and the board is asking me to help them move forward.

I'm looking for suggestions on businesses that provide this type of services, and any potential issues to be aware of.
