  • 1.  Community Compensation

    Hello,

I am an educator at the Denver Art Museum and we are interested in learning about how museums compensate community members for providing feedback. We are hoping to get more diverse feedback from a wider range of community members but realize that there are barriers that prevent many from participating. In order to counter some of these barriers and demonstrate the high value of the information we get from community members, we are investigating providing financial compensation for those who participate in Focus groups, Listening sessions, advisory committees, and surveys. We would love to hear what your museum is doing in terms of providing financial compensation for community members who provide feedback.

You can click this link to go to a google form and tell us about your institution's policy. If you would like to hear what we find out, we will share results with anyone who participates! You can also email me at slillis@denverartmuseum.org

Thank you for your time- we look forward to hearing from you!
