  • 1.  projectors that go below the floor

    Posted 02-25-2022 09:06 AM
I am trying to gather information on planetariums that have a starball which retracts completely below the floor when not doing a show. What places have this capability? What type of mechanism and retractable doors - company, model number, etc. - do they use? Feel free to reply to me at mfisher@sciencecentral.org. Thanks for your help.

    Sincerely,
    Martin

Strasenburgh Planetarium at Rochester Museum & Science Center. They have a commercial hydraulic piston lift for the Zeiss VI that can lower it a full floor to a basement workshop.

    Martin –

You might want to contact Mark Trotter or Brian Norris at Bowen Technovation in Indianapolis.

They are expert at Planetarium systems and are great to work with.
