At AAM's 1996 annual meeting there was a session on May 7th on museums in popular culture and two extensive bibliographies were distributed. The lists were "Hollywood at the Museum: A Filmography" complied by Patrick H. Butler, William Howse, Elisa Phelps, and Sally Shelton and " and "Murder in the Museum III," by Patrick H. Butler, Elisa Phelps, Sally Shelton, and David Spaulding."

I was part of this session with a paper "Levels of Reality: Media and Children's Perceptions of Museums" which covered museums in children's books and magazines. A bibliography was also distributed.
