    Hello all,
    I am looking for recommendations for magnifying glasses for in-gallery use. I have been using the same brand for a couple of years, and they tend to break or mysteriously walk away with visitors. Does anyone have a magnifying glass that works well for viewing small objects under glass, with about a 5" diameter lens, that has a loop or hole in the handle so that I can tether it with a cord?

    You might try contacting the Russian Icon Museum, here in MA.  I was very impressed with the magnifiers that they use extensively throughout the museum.
