    Dear colleagues,

This year’s AAM annual meeting will feature many discussions about museums being inclusive of and welcoming toward all our stakeholders – whether as visitors, staff or volunteers, or neighbors.  Next week, the LGBTQ Alliance Professional Network will be unveiling a resource to help museums be welcoming to LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer) people: get a sneak peek at this “Welcoming Guidelines” document at http://bit.ly/AAMLGBTQ.

Please also visit us to hear about the Guidelines in a Saturday afternoon session at #AAM16, or during the Open Forum Discussions on Saturday morning.  We want to hear your thoughts on this project – let’s start the discussion here, then we’ll see you next week!

    • What is your museum currently doing to include LGBTQ communities in your work?
    • How do suggestions like those in the Welcoming Guidelines fit into your museum’s other inclusion efforts?

      -  From your friends on the LGBTQ Alliance PN Steering Committee
