I am reaching out to find out how your Museum or institution is offering healthcare coverage to full time staff in accordance to the Affordable Healthcare Act? We're using a post tax reimbursement system, but I feel there is probably a better solution, and wanted to know what our fellow Museums are doing - AND your feedback on the system you've implemented.
We're a medium sized Museum with 3 FT and 6 PT staff.

We have a group policy purchased through a local agent that complies with ACA. The museum pays 100% of the employee coverage; employee is responsible for family coverage. Paying 100% reduces taxes for both the employee and the museum. We had an HSA plan one year, but the high deductible was hard for staff to manage. This year we have a PPO plan. Part time employees are responsible for their own coverage.
