    Can anyone comment on the usefulness of attending the fundamentals class at Fundraising School-Indiana University? Thank you.

    I attended their Principles & Techniques class several years ago and found it very useful for understanding the big picture of fundraising as well as practical tools.

    Good morning, Hollis. I agree that the Fundraising School at IU has very good professional development for general fundraising. I don't believe you'll get the museum-specific nuances (such as how to deal with gifts of art or objects, raising funds for traveling exhibitions, managing collection-specific donor societies, etc.) For the latter, you'd be better served with the DAM sessions at an AAM conference.
