    Hello all,

I am writing to you from the High Museum of Art to announce a new project we have been developing over the last few months: a new, interpretive blog called High Art Connect (www.highartconnect.com) that explores our  collections, programs, and exhibitions through the lenses of social practice, civic engagement, community, and activism.

We developed this project with the theme of this year's annual meeting, "the social value of museums," in mind. The High Museum is very excited to welcome many of you to Atlanta in the coming weeks, and we hope that this web platform will add to the rich conversations we anticipate will take place during the AAM conference.  We invite you to join us in conversation around this topic and use High Art Connect while visiting the museum to learn more about our collections and exhibitions. And, for those of you who are unable to come to Atlanta for this year's conference, we hope that you find High Art Connect to be a useful resource for learning more about socially engaged practice.

On the site, you can use the EXPLORE feature to search content by theme, collection, or even location within the museum. You can also ENGAGE with us by asking questions, sharing your stories, and joining us in conversation about exhibitions and works of art.

We are looking forward to seeing how our visitors will respond to and make use of this new platform and are eager to see how the project will continue to grow and improve with the feedback, responses, and connections we anticipate will come! I would especially appreciate any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions any of you in the AAM community might have.

    Warmly,
