  • 1.  Standard language "Please Touch"

    Hello Everyone,

Similar to Rebecca Shreckengast post from last week.

I have a museum looking for best practices/standard language related to 'please touch' signage for heavy/large objects so visitors know there is a potential risk of injury if they choose to touch. To protect the museum against a possible lawsuit if someone were to injure themselves.

Any insights you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Dear Celia,

I haven't seen the post you refer to, but why can't you create or research and use easy to read/understand symbol signage showing the danger, such as a rock falling on a person you see on the roads for falling rocks? There are lots of examples online that you can adapt for your purpose. Symbol signage is very effective.
