    Hi!
Angels Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro will spend 2015 exploring the story of veterans and their families in the South Bay area. We will install a year-long exhibition that is an artist led community project with 4 vets, roundtable conversations with vets, families and the community over particular topics, art making workshops in conjunction with local High School that touch on issues related to the veteran experience and a staging of "the moth". It has been a rewarding experience thus far as we focus on bring multiply voices to the table rather than the singular; reach out to organizations such as VFW groups, veterans for peace as well as local individuals who are doing good work to support the troops; and positioning everything for our weekly fieldtrips of third graders. All of this is being guided by a group of labor, community, union activists as well as artists.

    Happy to share more... isabelle@angelsgateart.org
