Shift away from national woes to global needs

Today's blog post from The Center for the Future of Museums is on the larger role of museums - all museums - for supporting healthy communities and a healthy biosphere by pursuing our missions collectively and collaboratively. The local and regional good you do supports the national and global good no matter what the political atmosphere.

There is excellent work for us in protecting cultural heritage in ways that strengthen communities and protect landscapes. There is excellent work for us in communicating with our audiences about how that exotic bird at the pet shop is part of an international biodiversity crisis they can help fight. And there is excellent work to be done in fostering inclusiveness and tolerance.
