I'm the ED of the Neill-Cochran House Museum in Austin, TX.  We have a substantial number of candlesticks/candelabra in the museum and I have been asked by board members to consider flameless candles.  Has anyone invested in flameless candles?  Do you have an opinion regarding better brands to consider?  If we are going to do it, I would like the candles to appear as natural as possible, obviously.

    Thanks so much!

    Indoor Archives - Luminara

We have been pleased with the candles from Luminara.  They have a moving "flame" that is illuminated by a LED light.  They are a little on the expensive side but we have not been able to find other LED candles that we are satisfied with.  We did find a local retailer who was willing to sell them to us at a substantial discount which did help out some.

We have also been pleased with the effects of the Luminara flame less candles. We use the ones that have a timer and are on for five hours a day, off for 19. The batteries are changed about every 60 days.

We've used something similar to this and they've worked well.  Good luck!

I like Luminara battery-operated candles. They are pricey, but realistic, and they come in various sizes. They can also be controlled remotely.
