Are you a historic house museum professional, board member, or volunteer interested in sharing the story of your site with the world?

I'm writing a book on the financial management of historic house museums on the hunt for case studies! I'm interested in profiling exemplary and/or innovative cases of basic concepts in action to include in each chapter. If you believe your organization – or one you know – may be a useful example for others in the field on the following topics, please send me an email with a brief description of the site and explanation of the case:

-Organizational structure and incorporation (how did you get started?)
-Forms of contributed income (do you have a unique/successful way to solicit donations?)
-Forms of earned income (what about unique/successful ways to earn funds?)
-Managing income and expenses (how do you manage money?)
-Forecasting and strategic planning (how are you planning for the future?)

I'm hoping to offer cases of organizations that are of varying size, structure, and location. If you're interested in seeing your story in print, please contact me (Becky Beaulieu) at rbeaulie@bowdoin.edu by October 7.
