If your building - or land - is owned by a municipality (city, county, state), request them to pay for it. We were able to convince our city to pay for security cameras, since the cost of that equipment would off-set the cost of litigation from visitor car break-ins, visitors damaging the parking lot and contesting it, staff being attacked by homeless at late/early hours, etc, etc.
If you own your building, your best chance would be to look at your local foundations. Your development team should have a handle on which ones would fund a non-exhibit, non-program such as this.

Subject: Funding sources for security equipment
We are seeking a source of underwriting for $50,000 of security equipment for our regional cultural center. The Department of Homeland Security turned down our grant due to lack of imminent terrorist threat. Our needs are serious, however, and we are looking for possible alternative resources. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
