Seeking Marketing Panelist for Proposed AAM Session: Advocates for Fun/Learning Through Play

  • 1.  Seeking Marketing Panelist for Proposed AAM Session: Advocates for Fun/Learning Through Play

    Posted 08-25-2016 11:47 AM

    Hello all,

I am organizing a panel for an AAM session about advocating for learning through play, specifically as it pertains to museums’ early learner audiences.  Learning through play is an ideology most commonly found in children’s museums but many “traditional museums” also seek to incorporate fun and play into their overall visitor experience.  Of course, staff at these museums must overcome different hurdles than children's museums in pursuit of this goal.  This session will present a diverse panel of museum professionals from a range of museums, each with a different target audience, focus, and size and address the struggles/successes that they encounter as they advocate for fun for their early learner audiences.

This proposed panel already consists of two museum educators and an exhibit designer.  We are hoping to find a marketing/communications professional, who can speak to his or her method for attracting and maintaining early learner/family audiences in a fun and meaningful way.  If you know anyone that fits this description, please send them our way.  Additionally, if you are interested in this topic or have another perspective, please share!

    Thanks,

    Laura

    Hi

I would be glad to be of help and or a panelist. I am with a Children's Museum and we work in concert often with other museums in terms of engaging young audiences. I would be happy to lend perspective and voice and or early learning content to the panel if it works for you.

    Thanks

    Sandra
