The U.S. Botanic Garden seeks museums with diverse missions to collaborate on a panel for the national AAM conference 2017.
The panel would examine each institution’s path to success (or challenges) by either:
- Using their original mission or founding through the present day with little or no change
- evolving in order to stay relevant
For example, museums may have limited ability to fluctuate from a foundational mandate, charter, or will — and how does this enable success or what challenges does this present?
O, other museums might have few restrictions and struggle to stay relevant with a successful mission.
