    Hello,

My name is Adriana Fernandez and I am the Monarch Coordinator at The Field Museum. If you are located in the Chicago Region, please help us distribute our survey to help monarch conservation efforts. Please see below:

The Field Museum - Urban Monarch Survey – Promotional text

    SHORT: (<140)

The Field Museum needs your input to help the monarch butterfly! Take the Urban Monarch Survey: fieldmuseum.org/monarchs

    MEDIUM:

Many people have become involved in a project to conserve monarch butterflies. Are you one of them? Or might you have a broader connection to monarchs -- as a land owner or manager, a commercial or private gardener, as a scientist, or simply as an interested citizen? The Field Museum needs your input to help the monarch butterfly! Take the Urban Monarch Survey: fieldmuseum.org/monarchs

LONG: (aimed mostly at environmental orgs)

Take The Field Museum's Urban Monarch Survey

The monarch butterfly is in trouble, but it also has many friends. What does all the good work on behalf of monarchs in cities really add up to? What can we learn about the best places to create monarch habitat, and the best ways to get the diverse people of the city involved in the effort?

These are the driving questions behind The Field Museum's project called A Monarch's View of the City. This study will guide priority- and goal-setting for conservation efforts going forward. Your input is needed to help develop a monarch butterfly urban conservation strategy!

This 15 to 30 minute online survey is for individuals and organizations currently involved in a monarch related project, as well as those who might be in the future. Our research team is interested in learning about a range of environmental practices that relate to the success of monarchs and other pollinators. More information and links to the survey in both English and Spanish are available here: fieldmuseum.org/monarchs

The Field Museum research team is also conducting interviews in person and over the phone. If you are interested in providing input this way, or if you have any questions or comments regarding the study, please contact the team at monarchs@fieldmuseum.org.

Please note: This is a separate survey from the one conducted by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). If you have already participated in the IDNR's project, we would really appreciate you taking the time to complete our survey as well; the surveys complement each other.

    Thank you!

    Hello,

At the San Antonio Zoo we have also been working on monarch conservation efforts. I will forward this to the ladies in our department who have a more direct role and see if they would like to assist in the survey.

    Best,

    -Jessica
