Hello Everyone,
Referring to Andrew Hansen's post, I have two years’ experience working in museums and within the Atlanta Arts community, a B.A. in Art History, as well as a Public History Certificate. I am finishing my temporary staff position as an administrative assistant at the Zuckerman Museum of Art. During this year, I have narrowed my search to working for the education department in an art museum as my desired employment. I understand that I eventually will want to teach Art History, preferably Asian Art or Contemporary Art, in the future. With this context, I wanted a more experienced professionals input on graduate programs and career path. I am currently looking into programs such as Art History, Art Education, Art Administration, Museum Studies and anything about Museum Education. What has been your experience with an Educational Department in Art Museums?
