Here at Oakland Museum of California (OMCA) we're currently collecting approx 200 exit surveys per month on site to gain understanding of overall experience rating and visitor demographics to better understand our audience.   We also have a contract evaluation in progress to dig deeper into the substance of "satisfaction" for specific application in planning toward strategic goals.  Program surveys focus on large community programs several times per year, and in-house summative evaluations for temporary exhibitions consist of exit surveys and timing & tracking studies that focus on interpretive practices.  Targeted prototyping for exhibition components has been a practice here for over 8 years now and continues for select exhibitions, along with front-end for upcoming exhibitions with potentially controversial or emotionally charged content.  OMCA has two staff positions for evaluation, Evaluator (full time - me), and Evaluation and Experience Developer, Sean Olson (part-time evaluation focus).

Feel free to contact  either of us for more info.
