I am currently writing my will. In it, I wish to leave my modest collection of decorative art objects, most suitable for a historic house of the 1930s period, to an appropriate non-profit historic house, or similar museum, foundation, or institution. However, thus far I have not found such an institution which would be interested in being named in the will as the recipient of these objects, with the intention, if possible, of public display rather than sale for the proceeds. Of course, I have no idea when the estate will be distributed, presumably decades from now. If someone on this forum represents such an institution, I would welcome a personal discussion of this issue.
