Hello Melissa -
My suggestion would be to contact one of several folks in the DC area at the Smithsonian and elsewhere who might be able to loan you one of their carts for your presentation. To name a few the Smithsonian Museum of African Art, Smithsonian Museum of American Art or even George Washington's Mount Vernon are locations that have program carts that we've designed and that might fit your needs. Let me know if I can be of any help whatsoever.
Cheers

I highly recommend looking at the custom carts designed by Rich Faron of Museum Explorer, Inc. in Chicago. He is an amazing creative thinker and great to work with. They've created carts for the Chicago History Museum, the Smithsonian's American Art Museum, Museum of Science and Industry and many more.

Melissa-
Try one of the art suppliers, like Utrecht or Dick Blick. They both have carts that don't look industrial, roll well and have a flat top.

We are looking for professional presentation carts to use on the exhibit floor when we are doing special presentations. Ideally the cart would have a top shelf with a small lip so that artifacts would not fall or roll off. A couple of drawers for storing additional props and materials would be good. Ideally this cart would not look like it came from a hospital or warehouse. And quiet wheels would be great.
I am looking to this community for recommendations on what carts you use and would recommend or not recommend. Who to contact, etc. Perhaps you have a resource for custom made carts. I'm open to all suggestions.
Thank you,
Melissa
