Hello, I am Harriet Lynn, Founder/Producer/Artistic Director of Heritage Theatre Artists' Consortium (since 1994). As an independent consultant for museum theatre, oral history performance, docent and communications training I have worked with a variety of museums/institutions on multiple and varied projects. These programs may range from living history to oral history performances concerning socially relevant issues and training staff and volunteers for enhancing vistor's experiences. Some of the museums and organizations I have worked with include the Baltimore Museum of Art, The Walters Art Museum, Port Discovery - Childrens' Museum, Maryland Historical Society, Jewish Museum of MD, MD Science Center, Reginald F. Lewis Museum of MD African-American History and CultureJohns Hopkins University, Peabody Institute, UMBC, Center for Art, Design and Visual Culture, , etc.
I particularly enjoy giving individuals a platform to share their personal stories in creative and engaging ways for audiences and hosting post- performance discussions with audiences. I hold a BFA in Dance and Theatre from the Boston Conservatory and a M.S. from University of Maryland University College. I am a member of AAM, Board Member-at-Large with the International Museum Theatre Alliance (IMTAL) and also a SAG/AFTRA member. My earlier career as a professional performing artist included Broadway National Companies and regional theatre in feature roles. In addition on occasion I serve as an enrichment lecturer for various cruise lines in Europe and South East Asia. I also am a longtime practitioner of t'ai chi and have been teaching t'ai chi since 1981. You can view more of my background and projects at the HTAC website:
