Hi all,
I'm a graphic designer wishing to combine my love of design with my life-long interest in Native American history to create an exhibit of a specific historical event. It will have significant educational value, be historically accurate and culturally inclusive, promote understanding, and maybe even help heal some of our sad interaction with Native Americans.
Please join me on a wonderful project: The Sand Creek Massacre-Exhibit.
I will remain creative director and designer but I realize I need help from A-Z, fundraising, interpretive aspects, curating, with artifacts, safety, and generally making the exhibit professional, scholarly and thought provoking.
I'm assuming this is the place to find individuals interested in exhibit concepts, development, connecting to viewer, theory, writing and other.
I believe the bulk of research has been done. I believe the job is to collect content, interpret, translate and concept.
Attached is my preliminary proposal. Please respond soon. If you would like to help in any way, am open to contributors, collaborators, funding resources, ideas, suggestions, professionals, students welcome too.
Thanks! I appreciate your help.
