  • 1.  Project Management Software for exhibition planning

    Posted 05-22-2015 11:05 AM

    Hi all,

I am wondering if anyone is using a project management software that is adequately handling their needs for exhibition planning?

We are using a few different means here and are looking to get everyone together on one platform that we can create some usage guidelines and best practices around.

    Grateful for any recommendations.

    Best,

    Derek

We have just signed a contract with Wrike and we are beginning to experiment with this platform for both project management and project team communications.  I was wondering if anyone else was using Wrike and had any tips from experience.  Happy to let you know how this goes for us.

p.s. used to live in Attleboro, MA when my wife was in grad school at Brown and have great memories of RISD.

    Thanks Marvin,

This looks good, I would love to hear more about how it works out for you. We have been dabbling in Trello, and this seems like it might offer a bit more, which is what we need.

    Best,

    Derek

I've been using Teamwork.com. It's been beneficial, allowing communications to be in one place, but still allow for users (even contractors) to respond via their own personal email accounts. Has risks, tasks, milestones, calendar, files, links, mobile features and they also offer a chat feature. Was extremely helpful for my last major project, didn't have to worry about overlooking an email or notifying everyone on the project. File versioning was the best part, because it prevented miscommunication with contractors and content writers. It could easily be said that you could utilize those features with Microsoft Outlook, but that only works if everyone you're working with has those tools. A web based program allows everyone, no matter their platform easy accessibility no matter where they are.

    Good Luck,

    Rochelle
