Over the past two years, members of the AAM LGBTQ Alliance Professional Network have worked to develop a document that outlines preferred practices for welcoming LGBTQ communities into museums. If you will be in Atlanta for the conference, please join us to review a draft of written guidelines for museums to engage more deeply with their LGBTQ visitors, staff and neighbors.
Visit the "welcoming practices" committee at the LGBTQ Alliance's Marketplace of Ideas on Monday afternoon to share your suggestions, learn how welcoming guidelines can strengthen service to diverse communities-and volunteer to be part of the process.
