    Hi all,

I am in search of policies and procedures used for Traveling Exhibitions -- from creating to shipping -- including the roles various departments play.

I'm working with an institution that has only recently started a program to travel exhibitions and issues have come up slightly differently than one-off shows (i.e. division of labor, storage of exhibitions that do not have a "next" venue, etc.).

Any information/documents/links that you are able to share will be greatly appreciated.  Feel free to contact me off-list if you prefer.

    Thank you in advance,

    Juliette

Look at SITES, I'm sure they have policies and procedures in place.

Juliette, I am also looking for a checklist of sorts. At the Speed we are used to taking on loan exhibitions so the process isn't unfamiliar, I just don't want to forget anything as we are looking to reverse the process and travel our own content. I'll be glad to chat about anything you find!

    Hi Juliette,

I am the former chair of AAM's Traveling Exhibits Network. I am happy to answer any of your questions to help guide you. Many of the publications are no longer current in our post-covid industry. My email is cynthia@museumexp.com.
