Hi Everyone,
I have been asked to benchmark institutions which have moved or intend to move their data to cloud storage.
Please respond to this short survey. If you respond outside of the Open Forum, I will keep your information confidential:
- Institution Name:
- What is the type of institution, such as museum, sculpture park, historic property on-site, historic property off-site, and/or gardens?
- What is the size of the collection?
- Where is your data and back-up data located, as in, on-site server, off-site serve, or cloud storage?
- Who manages the database regarding permissions, trainings, report writing, style guides, troubleshooting, and upgrades?
- Is your Information Technology department on-site or outsourced?
- What is the staffing status of your registration department or associated positions? Feel free to list the ideal – we have one registrar but need three.
- Is your artifact collection storage on-site or off-site?
- Please share any tips or warning you may have encountered when you moved your data to cloud storage or share why you have not moved to cloud storage.
Thank you in advance for your time and insight
Regards,
Sherry
