I'm looking for suggestions and direction on how to maintain the integrity and beauty of flagstone floors in one of my gallery spaces. The floor has never been sealed so it has settling cracks, it looks dirty, and its uneven. The solution for cleaning is a high power wash which only moves the dirt around making it look stained. I have been researching the idea of having it properly cleaned and then sealing it with an epoxy that will make the floor even enough to keep pedestals from being wobbly and to also make it easier to maintain for our custodial team.
I also realize that it off gasses an incredible amount too. If I could get a timeline idea of how long it has taken to do this type of project in an exhibition space, I would appreciate any help with this.
