    Hello all,
I'm interested in collaborating with other professionals who are interested in outdoor activities at their museums or nature centers. We have a limited budget but want to keep guest engaged with our nature center. If anyone has ideas or suggestions about contest, social media, or anything related to keeping guest engaged with the outdoors, please reach out I would love to speak with you!

    Hi Lee,
Have you reached out to your local environmental non-profits? They can sometimes offer low cost programming. For example, Indiana Phenology offers hands-on citizen science activities (but only in Indiana, sorry!).

    Hi Lee,

I would also contact art centers or associations, they may bring classes for sketching or plein air painting. I would also talk to libraries, who are often looking for resources. Last summer's reading theme was Ocean of Possibilities, we did a lot of themed outreaches and some onsite programs.

    Hi, Lee.

We do community science projects including iNaturalist, bioblitzes, and soon City Nature Challenge. For younger visitors we do outdoor scavenger hunts and migration challenges. We also love nature journaling for all audiences and use some of the ideas of John Muir Laws. It would be great to share ideas.
