2025 Greenfire January Mini-Retreat!
The
Greenfire January Mini-Retreat is a
different kind of writing retreat. It's virtual (online) and combines museum, heritage site, and other online exhibits with prompts, exercises, and ideas to stoke your creative fire and support your writing. The 2025 mini-retreat is
Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19; you can attend either or both days.
Before we meet via Zoom on retreat days, you'll receive links to inspiring, intriguing, and thought-provoking online exhibits and information to explore ahead of time. The day before each retreat day, you'll receive an email with ideas and writing prompts (always optional) to experiment with during the retreat.
On each retreat day, we'll gather as a group on Zoom for 2 sessions, one longer, one shorter, with a long break in between. Each session includes time to write, share, create, explore, and write in a warm, welcoming community. You'll have time for writing and other creative activities during both sessions as well as on your own between sessions.
The
Greenfire January Mini-Retreat encompasses interp writing but doesn't focus exclusively on it. Writers of all experience levels, genres, and forms are welcome. It's a wonderful opportunity to recharge your creativity, re-energize your writing, and have fun.
This year's adventures will take us from the rainforest of Costa Rica to the Healer Stones of Hawaii. We'll explore the sounds of the Silk Road, textile weaving of the Southwest US and Mexico, and the surprising art of toys. And we'll write!
