Living Through Paradigmatic Crisis, or "Keeping it together when everything seems to be falling apart."

It sucks to live through times of paradigmatic crisis, but the only way out of them is through them. There is nowhere that is not touched by the upheavals in society and no museum that is immune. So what is a person to do? In this discussion, we'll talk about tools to make sense of the current moment and how to effectively dream up what new solutions might look like. This is, to me, the real work for all of us to tackle.

Ed Rodley is a Co-Founder & Principal, at The Experience Alchemists (TEA). He is an award-winning experience designer and strategist with over thirty-five years experience in museums. Ed's deep interest in organizational change stems from his lifelong, one-sided love affair with museums. He literally grew up in museums, from his first volunteer position at age 12, through summer jobs and internships, and entry-level, front-of-house positions, and finally, a "professional" career. His new book on museum experience design, Designing for Playful Engagement in Museums, is available from Routledge.
