    Posted 05-07-2024 09:59 AM

On behalf of the IES Museum and Art Gallery Lighting Committee, I would like to invite all that are interested to a virtual symposium on lighting in museums. There is a fantastic lineup of speakers from a wide range of roles including lighting designers, researchers, conservators, curators, and more. This will be a fantastic opportunity to learn more about the many roles lighting plays in the gallery visitor experience.

For more information including a complete agenda, please check this link and check back as registration will open soon: Light for Life® Virtual Symposium: Museum Lighting

Wanted to remind those interested that registration is now open!

    https://www.ies.org/events/light-for-life/

Register yourself or register for your museum and host a viewing party!

Additionally, speaker Scott Rosenfeld (Handcrafting Light in the 21st Century at the Smithsonian American Art Museum) has offered up the ability to ask questions ahead of the symposium related to his presentation. And he will work to address them. Leave your question in this thread or send to me and I will share them with him!

Join the discussion on June 27th!

    Richard,

Will you be including sensory considerations for those with light sensitives?
