Sorry to say that I do not want a card on my telephone, I do NOT have one.
Please give some of your members a choice. My last cards were always easy to use.
The new technology is not good for me and perhaps not for other older card members.

The new AAM membership card system is painful for me as an older member, making it hard for me to produce my membership card on demand. This new system may save money for AAM, but it does not accommodate the needs of at least some members and the alternatives are pretty dismal.

Thank you for your comments and perspectives.

I want to share a little more on membership cards in case others have the same questions. Since I am answering this thread, I will also close this thread so that people can find the answer easily. Please be sure to reach out to the Membership Team directly with questions about your membership, as your comments may get lost on an open forum.

Your Membership Card can be printed or saved as a PDF from your end. This alternative version comes with your digital membership card.

    • Open the email with subject line "Your New Membership Card" from your computer or other device.
    • Press "Download Membership Card" in the teal button.
    • Under the card is the text "Or print a physical copy." Press that.
    • Choose to save as a PDF or PRINT

Some pro's to digital cards for those reading that want to know more.
Using a digital wallet securely and conveniently organizes your membership cards, identity cards, keys, rewards cards, credit and debit cards, transit passes, boarding passes, tickets, and more - all in one place. This eliminates the need for multiple apps, managing multiple accounts/passwords on your device, and also helps ensure these important items are not lost in download folders, email accounts, physical wallets, or in the mail.

Alternative digital options such as PDF or JPEG version, lack security, are difficult to verify, and are at high risk of fraud, however, we do extend the opportunity for people to save a copy using these options.

We acknowledge that tangible objects create a connection to services, however, transitioning to digital membership cards also allows members to access official membership cards 3-6 weeks faster, save in costs, and extend more kindness to our Earth, by using less fuel, paper, and plastic.

Thank you for your support, understanding, and being part of this community.
