Hello all,
We are trying to upgrade our Collections Storage doors to meet the AAM recommendations for security. Section 14:10 states "Collection storage rooms with double doors should be equipped with a high security drop bolt lock and those with single leaf doors should be equipped with high security deadbolt locks." Our door supplier didn't recognize the terminology "drop bolt lock" and asked if it was the same as a flush bolt, which secures the inactive leaf of the double door to the threshold and jamb above.
Can anyone confirm this for me? I think these are the same thing but would love to have this confirmed by someone who knows better than me. Any other tips on what to be sure of (or make sure to prevent) with upgrading collections storage doors would be much appreciated!
