    Hello AAM Colleagues!

My colleagues and I at the National Museum of Natural History are in the early stages of developing an exhibition around the idea of bringing the awe and wonder of biodiversity and connection with nature, along with the pressing issue of biodiversity loss, into the collective hearts and minds of audiences in a way that makes nature and global planetary change intensely personal and actionable.

We are interested in talking to colleagues from across the museum field who have developed exhibitions around the topics of biodiversity, connection to nature, and biodiversity. How the exhibition defined and approached biodiversity is our current burning question. Therefore, exhibitions or research exploring ecosystem, species, systems, place-based, or topical approaches (food, etc.) are all welcome and applicable.

We would like to learn what you did, how you messaged the topic, and what you learned about communicating with the public about these topics.

Please contact Angela Roberts at robertsak@si.edu and Siobhan Starrs at starrss@si.edu directly.

    Thank you!
