Hello AAM!
I am wondering if anyone here has gained outright ownership of municipal land (City, County, State) in order to receive grants or gifts. Our museum sits primarily on City land (with a 30-year $1/year lease), but the City does not support maintenance or operations. Government grants sometimes ask us to demonstrate that we have control over the land for the life of a particular capital upgrade or project, sometimes over 30 years. How have other organizations handled this? To add another complication, the City owns about 70% of our Museum collection.
